Frequently Asked Questions
Do you create the maze, and what happens to the corn after the season?
We partner with a wonderful family-owned company called MazePlay from Firth, Idaho. The owner, Shawn Stolworthy, precision-plants our maze using a custom design we select each year. After the season ends, the field corn is harvested and sold.
How should we dress for the maze?
The maze is located in a cornfield, so dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. If it has rained recently, boots are recommended. Trails may be bumpy or uneven, so please watch your step.
Should we bring a stroller for young children?
Smaller children may enjoy riding in a wagon. We recommend baby carriers or backpacks for infants and toddlers, or a heavy-duty stroller with large wheels. Wagons are also available to rent for $10 (valid credit card or ID required).
How long does it take to complete the maze?
It depends on how many mazes you choose to explore. You can spend as little as 30 minutes or stay all day—you’re welcome to come and go as you please.
Are there restrooms available?
Yes, restrooms are available on-site for your convenience.
Can I purchase tickets online?
No, we only sell tickets on-site with the exception of special events.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover (3% fee for credit and debit cards)
Are pets allowed in the maze?
Pets are not permitted, with the exception of service animals. However, we do host an annual Dog Day on the last day of the season.
Can I get lost in the maze and not be found?
No worries! Our “Corn Cops” patrol the maze during busy times and at night. If you say, “I GIVE UP,” they’ll help guide you out. You’ll also receive a map at admission with a phone number to call if you need help finding your way out. Also, there are multiple exits leading back to the courtyard.
Does the maze close due to bad weather?
The maze is open weather permitting. If we need to close, updates will be posted on our website. Rain can cause muddy conditions that may require closure even after rainfall ends. If you’re unsure, please call 330-549-9000.
Do I need a flashlight for night mazes?
Yes! Pathways are not lit at night, so please bring a flashlight. Flashlights and glow sticks are also available for purchase on-site.
